HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

You are correct. The symptoms are in keeping with allergic or infectious sinusitis.

With infection there would be additional symptoms such as fever and there may also be a discharge.

The dizziness and balance issues would occur because of congestion of the sinuses or the effect on the inner ear. The inner ear plays a big role in controlling balance.

Treatment would involve: (1) use of a topical and oral decongestant
Both of these would be over the counter. Topical decongestants would include normal saline drops or oxymetazoline or xylometazoline

Oral decongestants would be pseudoephedrine eg sudafed.

(2) can be combined with antihistamine- oral decongestant /anti histamine combination can normally be found over the counter eg claritine d, allegra d, zyrtec d

(3) warm compress to the face also helps with drainage of the sinuses. This can be done for 10 to 15 minutes, 2 to 3 times a day

(4)nasal sprays such as nasonex, flonase, rhinocort may be needed if the above is not enough.

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
