Hello I'm 43 years old. The reason I went to the dr is because I was congested. I'm just congested and wheezing. No chest pain. I just have to try and breathe through my nose. Can't sleep at all

Brief Answer:
Nasal decongestant

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Good to hear from you.
I would like to know few more details from you, like
Are you having asthma, do you have any allergies?
Do you have deviated septum?

Presently based on the information I would suggest you to continue the line of management as suggested earlier. And along with that it would be beneficial if you use nasal decongestant like octrivin, before going to bed at night. You should be fine with this measures.
