Suggest Remedies For Severe Itching In Scrotum Area

Question: This is embarassing but for a while now at night and sometimes during the day my scrotum gets very itchy and also near my anus on the side. I also get generalized itchiness allot of places mostly during nighttime. After sex my private area is always itchy afterwards, well at least most of the time, not always. I only have 1 partner that never has had any symptoms or problems. I have no stds as far as I know. Thus itchy after sex had been going on for a long time, maybe even years.

anyways I noticed a weird bumps on my scrotum and attached a pic. any ideas?

Thanks for the query and photograph.
These red spots on your scrotum are cherry angiomas.
These are totally normal and not the cause for itch.
This itching might be due to scrotal dermatitis.
You mentioned that you have itch all over body which suggests that you have an allergy prone skin.
I treat such cases with a mild steroid cream like cortisone twice daily for a week and antihistamine tablet daily in night for the same duration.
Don't use soap, instead you can use a body wash.
Apply a good moisturizing lotion immediately after bath.
This should help you.

okay thanks. Can I use jock itch cream? and yes I notice that my knees, private area, ears, thighs and some random other places get all itchy. some days they are fine others not. after sex at night it's always worse, maybe from moisture ? could it be like a jock itch syndrome?

It doesn't appear to be jock itch.
