Brief answer...it seems to be subconjuctival hemorrhageĀ
Detailed answer..
Hello,
Thanks for the query.
I have read your query and understand your concern.
Although you have not sent the photograph but your description clearly tells that it is a subconjuctival hemorrhage which is a bleed beneath conjunctiva.
Generally caused by injury to eye or head, high blood pressure, violet coughing, bout of vomiting, using blood thinners like warfarin or aspirin etc, however in most cases the cause is unknown.
It is very common in elderly people.
In your case it could be due to use of aspirin or may be just age. There are no symptoms with this problem.
However nothing to worry and nothing is to be done,as there is no treatment for it.
Get your blood pressure noted.
It would take 2-3 weeks to go away completely.
I hope it helps, however You are most welcome to revert to me for any further query.
Best of luck
Thanks
