Suggest Remedies For A Wound On The Hand Of A Baby

Question: hi.. my one month old baby has this skin wound developed on her hand. it was small when i noticed it 4 days ago. now it is bigger in size. initially I thought it was because of mosquito bite but it doesn't seem to be like that. she was vaccinated only at birth (38 days ego). please check the attached picture and kindly suggest.

I have gone through your query carefully as well as the attached image,
I can understand your concerns.

Going by the location, it could be an abscess formed at the spot where the BCG injection was administered. Some reaction is likely to be observed at the spot (left arm) where the BCG injection (vaccine) is administered. But the reaction seems slightly more and needs to be checked by the treating doctor. Nevertheless, possibly there is nothing wrong and nothing needs to be done about it.

thanks.. but the vaccine was done one month ago. and she had a black mark on the other hand which developed in 3 days. can you please suggest. thanks in advance

yes sir black mark is on right arm and the wound i asked about is on left. attaching the pic of right arm.. kindly suggest..

Mongolian blue spot

The spot on the right is a mongoloid blue spot. It is present since birth and is not related to BCG. It will eventually fade. Hard to predict whether it would fade away completely.

The swelling on the left is due to BCG. Please discuss with the treating doctor regarding that.

thanks doctor. baby breastfed for 30mins and played for 30mins and cries. tried to console her but no luck she was crying with hunger. again i offered her breastmilk but she was not satisfied. within 30mins is breasts able to produce milk? how to handle this situation
