Hello
Thanks for the query and photograph.
You have developed a mixed fungal and bacterial infection.
I treat such cases with a combination of topical antifungal cream like clotrimazole to be applied in night and an antibacterial ointment such as mupirocine to be applied in morning.
Do this for 15 days.
This combination works well and is safe.
Maintain good personal hygiene.
Don't worry it's not herpes.
Let me know if you have any other doubts.
Thank you.

Brief Answer:
Use itraconazole

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Yes fungal infection sometimes become resistant.
I treat such cases with capsule itraconazole 200 mg twice daily for a week.
This gives immediate relief.
Itraconazole might not be available over the counter.
You can meet a doctor and get it prescribed.
Although this capsule is to be taken just for a week but topical clotrimazole cream must be applied twice daily for a month to prevent recurrence.
Let me know if you have any other doubts.
Thank you.
