Brief Answer:
Get betadine vaginal pessary

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing...
I understand your concern...

It would be better to take a medication after confirmation of the disease... You need to get a vaginal swab to confirm bacterial vaginosis. Based on the severity medication is prescribed.

But if it is mild infection with no doctor nearby, you can get betadine vaginal pessary and insert it at night for 1 week. In most cases mild infection will get cured. But if infection does not subside with this you need to consult your gynaecologist to get a pelvic examination done.

Hope I have answered your query. Feel free to ask any doubts. Good day.

Hi,
Thanks for writing. You are welcome

If you are getting repeated infection, there is certain thing you should follow.
Keep the genital area clean and dry.
Use cotton panties.
Treat sexual partner also.
Avoid use of soap excessively in the genital area; it kills the normal flora... Use V wash to clean the genital area instead. This can be used twice daily.
Wear loose dress and if possible avoid panties at night.

Feel free to ask any doubt. Good day.

What should i do immediately after sex to prevent this - it only happens with certain partners when i dont use a condom. Should i douche with iodine?? I want to prevent the bv from coming back. I know probiotics are supposed to help too but what else can i insert into vagina after sex?

Brief Answer:
Use condom

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for writing..

Use condom during intercourse.. It prevents bacterial vaginosis and also prevents other STD's.. Do not douche.. It accelerates infection.. Instead in case of unprotected intercourse, wash with V wash and use betadine pessary at night for the day..

Feel free to ask any doubts.. Good day..
