Brief Answer:
Following home remedies for sinusitis...

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I am sorry for the health situation you are going through.

Azythromycine is an antibiotic treating bacterial infection.

Benzonatate is an antitussive agent.
You need to add over the counter antiinflammatory meds like ibuprofen or nimesulide for pain and inflammation.

Aerosol therapy/steam pot help ease the pressure together with keeping a stable humidity of the room you live in.

Flush your nasal passages to ease congestion. Keep well hydrated by drinking fluids like plain water and/or teas.
Adding spices like curry or peppers to teas or dishes can help.

Wish fast recovery.

Thank you... I assume I should not also take sine aid or sine off or similar otc meds that have helped with minor sinus problems in past while on the prescribed meds...

Brief Answer:
Should look inside the ingredients of the pill...

Detailed Answer:
Hi back,

Before using a medicine, we should look into its ingredients. Sine aid contains a combination of pseudoephedrine and acetaminophen.

The role of pseudoephedrine is covered by benzonatate you are already using, Acetaminophen is also known as paracetamol which is suggested earlier as anti-inflammatory med together with ibuprofen.

Keep this in mind when start using meds: always look into labels to see what's inside the pill.

Wish fast recovery.
