Suggest Dosage For Neurontin For Sciatica
Question: I am nervous about taking prescribed neurontin
for sciatica. I took 1time and had good day with not much pain but horrible nightmare with cry in the morning believing I need to kill myself.What is wrong in it?or reading side effect was the reason?

First of all, dont be nervous, relax.
Neurontin which contains gabapentin is a very good drug for sciatica pain.
Nightmares, delusion etc though very rare but still might happen with initial use. However, it is not serious and gets normal with regular use. It might not even be associated with your dream, could have been a coincidence.
So, in any case, discontinuation of the drug is not suggested unless there is severe side effects.
I would suggest regular use for 7 days, if the problem still persists, you can discontinue and consult your treating doctor.
