Suggest Diet To Lose Weight

Question: Hi.. I am XXXXXXX from XXXXXXX XXXXXXX I am 25 yrs old weighing around 100 kgs and am vegetarian. I am looking for some guidance on food options and general help on how to lose weight. I also have some skin problem on my face and a bit of fungal infection on the lower back which I got recently and the doc said it is mostly because of over weight. I tried to go for gym but I am getting too tired with gym and not able to manage it because the focus levels in the rest of the day is quite less since I am getting too tired. And my job requires good concentration. Please help...

Your main issue seems to be fatigue. You also have fungal overgrowth and higher weight. If you can give me your height, I can calculate your BMI.

Regarding fatigue, I suggest that you get basic blood tests done to find cause. The tests can include complete blood count, liver function test, kidney function test, thyroid profile, fasting blood sugar, lipid profile.

Regarding fungal infection, if its bothersome then you can apply some antifungal cream on it like miconazole ointment. Drinking cleaner water can also help in clearing skin infections.

Regarding weight management, you need to take low calorie diet under guidance of a dietician. Regular exercise including walk, yoga, swimming, cycling, any sports, can also be tried. Swimming is really good in toning muscles and losing fat. Yoga is very helpful in stretching muscles, getting flexibility and improving blood flow. Exercise should be done for atleast 30 min a day.
High calorie foods like milk products - cream, cheese, butter, ghee, sweets, chocolates, etc are to be avoided altogether. Quantity of food taken should be less during each meal. Fruits and vegetables should replace cookies and cakes. Low fat milk to be taken.
