Shoulder Pain Going Down To The Elbow. Prescribed With Pane Dine And X-ray. What Does It Indicate?

Question: Shoulder pain going down to the elbow for 5 days. Doctor could not see cause & prescribed pane dine & ordered an X-ray yesterday but today the pain is much worse. The condition is my mothers. She is 81 & recently had chemo & radiotherapy for oesophageal cancer which seems to have been successfully cured.

She needs an MRI of the cervical spine and a physiotherapy is the mainstay of treatment.
