Question: Hi doctor I am 25 yrs old I had unprotected intercourse with my boyfriend last night
And I was on Novelon oral pills last month due to irregular periods ..... Now to avoid pregnancy should I take an emergency contraception or shall i start novelon oral from today for the next 21 days ... Pls suggest

Since you have stopped taking Novelon oral pills since last month for the treatment of irregular periods. Had you continued taking the pills you had an advantage of birth control as well.
Therefore you need to take emergency contraceptive pill as early as possible but within 72 hrs following unprotected intercourse.
Novelon may be taken in high doses to act as an emergency contraceptive, but the efficacy has not been proved and would definitely be lesser than the usual emergency contraceptive pill in view of the raised side effects on account of the increased dosage.
