Question: Should I get a shingles shot if I get cold sores on my back during stress that they tell me are a herpes virus? Does the shingles shot somehow worsen that condition?

Brief Answer:
Go for it

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

I read your question and I understand your concern. Shingles are treated with antivirals alone and not vaccines in people less than 50. And these vaccines are approved for ages 50 and above. And only in these age groups it may be accompanied by acyclovir.

As you are 61 so you may take the vaccine with antivirals and not to worry about any thing.

I hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and don't forget to close the discussion please.
