Question: Review of mri report please. Scared of possible sinister
doctor
Answered by Dr. Dr. Erion Spaho (15 hours later)
Brief Answer:
MRI findings most likely compatible with multiple sclerosis.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

I have read the MRI report that you uploaded.

The two lesions found in the MRI study point towards multiple sclerosis diagnosis, since there is no enhancement after the contrast administration and their location in the periventricular area.

Anything like brain tumors or brain metastases are very unlikely with these MRI findings.

You should see your Neurologist for further examinations in order to confirm the diagnosis, and subsequent treatment possibilities.

Hope you found the answer helpful.

Let me know if I can assist you further.
Thanks.

Why would they mention lymphoma, is it possible that it may not be ms ?

Answered by Dr. Dr. Erion Spaho (23 hours later)
Brief Answer:
I would explain as follows.

Detailed Answer:
Hello again.

I have read your follow-up question.

Imaging studies are not 100% accurate when diagnosing intracerebral lesions, so often other less likely diagnoses are included for differential diagnosis.

The report states that"morphology would be against lymphoma", so, this diagnosis is doubtful even if included as a differential diagnosis.

I hope this helps.

Feel free to ask if you have further questions.

I saw a neurologist today and he couldn't rule out lymphoma but thinks unlikely. He's doing a mri of my spine. I don't want ms. He's doing bloods and said lupus possibility. Can I reverse the lesions, any specific diet? Stress play a role?

Brief Answer:
I would explain as follows.

Detailed Answer:
Hello again.

I have read your new question.

The lesions are doubtful to be reversed despite the diagnosis.

A healthy diet, exercise, and minimizing stress can help treat disease easily.

I hope this helps.

Feel free to ask if you have further questions.

Brief Answer:
I would explain as follows.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome back.

I have seen the MRI images of your spine.

There are no visible lesions in these images, but these images are not sufficient for a correct understanding.

It is necessary for me to examine all the MRI images and sequences in order to give you a correct answer.

I hope this helps.

Feel free to ask if you have further questions.

Welcome back.

I examined the MRI images of your cervical spine sent by email.

I still don't see any demyelinating process in the spinal cord, however, it is necessary to wait for the blood test results and the final report by the Radiologist for a correct diagnosis.

I hope this helps.

Feel free to ask if you have further questions.

In good health.

Ok but did you check all the images ? No lesions anywhere ? Nothing sinister? That you could see? I'm so anxious I don't want a spinal tap extracted.

Ok. No tumors or anything? All perfectly clear? Also can I still.have ms with only 2 small brain lesions?
doctor
Answered by Dr. Dr. Erion Spaho (2 days later)
Brief Answer:
I would explain as follows.

Detailed Answer:
Hello again.

As I stated before, there are no visible lesions on the MRI spine images you sent me (15 images).

However, spinal cord lesions are not an exclusion criterion for the MS diagnosis.

The MS diagnosis is complex, mainly based on clinical findings, imaging, and lab test findings.

I think your Neurologist should arrive at an accurate conclusion after these evaluations.

Hope this helps.

Take care.
