No Period After Delivery. Is This Normal?

Question: I delivered on XXXXXXX 21 2013 .Baby is breastfeeding now.

I had my period on april 4 2013 after my Delivery

this month Till now I didnt had my periods started,

Is it normal to have this ir-reuglar periods after Delivery?

Please let me know in details,so that I am aware of this process.

Thanks for the query.

During breastfeeding periods are often irregular due to hormonal fluctuation. This does not mean that one cannot become pregnant while breast feeding; therefore make sure to use some contraceptive. In consultation with your local doctor you can have multiload insertion/ oral pills or condoms.

Get your thyroid checked (TSH) test because some thyroid problems manifest after delivery which can also cause menstrual irregularity.
