Brief Answer:
No need to worry. He can take vaccine.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your question on Ask a doctor forum.
I can understand your concern.
Yes, he can take H1N1 vaccine.
No harm in it.
Just make sure that strain of vaccine is recent one not older one.
H1N1 vaccine updated annually according to strain pattern of Influenza virus.
So get done vaccine of 2018-2019 strain.
This will be effective.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wishing good health to your father. Thanks.

Brief Answer:
Better to take the 2018-2019 strain.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your follow up question on Ask a doctor forum.
As I have already mentioned in the first answer, better to take newer vaccine strain (2018-2019).
This vaccine will not be effective for the current swine flu epidemic.
Which strain influvac is having?
Is it a 2017-2018 strain or 2018-2019 strain?
Please reply me answers of above-asked questions, so that I can guide you better. I will be happy to help you further. Wishing good health to your father. Thanks.
