Is There Any Cure For Type 1 Diabetes When Advised Insulin Intake?
Question: Doctors have diagnosed type 1 diabetes and advised insulin 3 times a day before the meal .I would like to know if there is any cure for type 1 diabetes .This has started 3 months back and XXXXXXX is overweight by 10kgs

Thanks for contacting with your health query and after reviewing your health comcern I am of the following opinion:
1. As type 1 diabetes is an Autoimmune disease where your immune system attacks the beta cells of pancreas resulting in non production of insulin and increased level of blood glucose thus:
. Insulin has to be an important management regime
. There is no alternative to hormone in any -pathy thus Insulin (in any form) is a must.
. As the cause is polygenic thus genetic cause is main, again it is not preventable or curable but with regular insulin regime one can delay the complications.
2. As he is overweight by 10 kg let me know about his present weight and any family history of type 1 diabetes ( although in most cases it is not inherited)
3. Even in Ayurveda we held type 1 diabetes as "Sahaj/Jaatpramehi/ Vataj Prameha" means one which is present by birth or is due to environmental factors and is resistant to conventional line of treatment is type 1 diabetes, so keep in mind Insulin is the mainstay of treatment.
