Brief Answer:
There is no reason for concern.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to Healthcare Magic.
I am Dr Ramadevi Wani. I will be. answering your concerns today.

There is no reason for concern. Pap smear with co testing for HPV is the current guideline for cervical cancer screening. So don't worry.
About 50% of lesions missed by single Pap test can be picked up by additional HPV testing.
This co testing helps in better management .

If both are negative it gives greater reassurance. there is no risk of cervical cancer for several years and you can have the next Pap test after 5 years.
I hope this helps. If you have further concerns, I will be happy to answer.
Best wishes,
Dr Rama.
