Posted on Wed, 20 Sep 2017
Question: I've been having knee pains and now joint pains the last 10 days but I've been walking in the forest preserve for 4 weeks and I thought my knees were in pain because of walking but now it's all my joints...I'm pretty healthy and take no medication. I'm wondering if its Lyme disease but I don't have a rash. I did have something crusty in my scalp which I scrap off but never really saw what it was. do you think its Lyme disease...my joint pain is getting worse daily

Brief Answer:
Unlikely to be Lymes disease.

Detailed Answer:
Hi I am Dr Gopal Goel Orthopedic surgeon.
In my opinion this kind of joint pains is generally seen when you are overexerting without adequate rest and nutrition .
Lyme disease will features of infection like fever and rashes. If you feel that scaly crust was present and no rash - then again it is unlikely.
I suggest start pain killers and take adequate rest and nutrition.
