Brief Answer:
Information

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Yes, a random blood sugar of 200 or more is consistent with diabetes. However, it's important to have it confirmed with a serum blood glucose checked, as it's possible the machine may be off.

So I highly recommend that you go in to your doctor, have a fasting blood sugar and A1C test done and see where things are at.

In the meantime, watch your refined carbohydrate intake (such as sugars and white flour), and if possible, take up regular exercise. The XXXXXXX Diabetes Association recommends 30 minutes of moderate exercise, 5 days a week. If you are overweight, start to gently decrease weight with increased veggies and lowered carbs.

I hope this information helps. Please let me know if I can provide further information.
