Hi,
Thanks for asking.
I am Dr. Prakash HM and I will be answering your query.
Looking at your clinical history and query, my opinion is as follows:
1. Hydrocortisone would not complicate ITP, rather it might be helpful.
2. It is another steroid and only low dose. Nothing to worry.

Any further queries, happy to help again.

Brief Answer:
Try stretching exercises at other times.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking again.

Due to your radiation treatment, some amount of fibrosis would be present.

When you urinate, you contract the whole abdominal muscles to press on the bladder to urinate. Due to fibrosis, pulling feeling or a shooting pain is noticed.

You can try slow stretches/contraction exercises, similar to doing urination at other times - maybe ten times daily.. It could help.
However, as your urologist told, it is nothing to worry. Its only pulling of fibrous tissue.

Any further queries, happy to help again.

Brief Answer:
Need to evaluate diet.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking again.

1. Fiber rich diet usually leads to gas formation. As the fibers are not digested properly, they lead to gas formation in colon and hence cramps and gas. Look into you diet, which could lead to gas formation. Medimucil may cause, however, look into other fiber in diet, especially avoid insoluble ones or once which are not digested or broken down easily. Chewing properly and eating multiple small meals will help.

Additionally you can add peppermint, ginger, which are known to reduce gas formation. Mild to moderate exercise will help.

2. You are already on probiotics, which will help in improving gut bacteria, reducing gas. If you are not allergic to milk products, try curds or probiotic curds, and it might reduce.

3. Eat atleast two hours before your sleep. Do not go into lying down position immediately after food. Walk around. Any gas taken in during food, will come out rather than go down

Hope it helps.

Any further queries, happy to help again.
