Is Pregnancy Possible Through Withdrawal Method?

default
Posted on Fri, 28 Aug 2015
Question: I need an honest answer. Everyone knows the withdrawal method can led to pregnancy. Its just crazy cause so many people I know use it and haven't gotten pregnant my best friend has been doing it two years. She said the minute they wanted kids meaning he didn't pull out she got pregnant. Honestly I have not heard of anyone getting pregnant from this unless they didn't actually pull out, or whatever. Obviously there is a chance, but there is a chance even with protection. I'm not trying to defend pulling out but it seems like its better than nothing. And can work well if done right, the hard part may be pulling out. If you actually pull out, this may be difficult to answer, but what are the real odds. I would think very very slim? Reading about pregnancy seems like it would take an actually ejaculation 99% of the time? Just talking with friends it seems like everyone is using it and its working, but people stress it doesn't work but I see it working? What's the truth? I doubt people will just get lucky for so long if it didn't minimize your chances you would prob become pregnant within 6 months? I just don't see how its so back in forth. I've even talked to doctors some say if you actually pull out you wont get pregnant. Others say theres always a chance and some swear it doesn't work but reading the facts. It says when used perfectly its 96% effective? How can you say that doesn't work. Is it just human error that leads to the unwanted pregnancy?

Brief Answer:
Pull out does have chances of pregnancy

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for your query.

I have read you query and I understand your concerns about pull out method.

Following is my reply:

1) The preejaculation part of semen also contains some sperms which can lead to pregnancy.

2) Pull out is not always best contraception and does not offer 100 % protection.

3) There is pregnancy chances of about 10 percent even if pull out method is followed.

4) Hence it is not just human error but preejaculation fluid containing sperms.

I hope I answered you query and addressed your concerns.

Let me know if you wish to ask any further questions. I will be glad to help you.

Okay, thank you. My guess is it must not have a whole bunch of sperm. If any otherwise it would lead to a lot more pregnancies. But will pre ejaculate always have sperm or it just depends? Some guys will always some will never, but it seems like pulling out is way more efficient then doing absolute nothing?
10% failure rate to 30% failure rate seems a lot better than 85% failure rate

Brief Answer:
Not all preejaculation contain sperms

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

You are right.

All men don't have sperms in preejaculation fluid. There are few sperms in some and not many.

Withdrawal is better than doing nothing.
