Question: My name is XXXX a young girl of 22 years of age from Namibia. For the past 2-3 weeks I had unprotected sex, after sex within 10 hours I drank Norlevo pills ( one morning after pill). Just after some days maybe 3 to 5 days i started bleeding on my vagina and stop. I waited to have my period, which I was supposed to have it yesterday or today. Now I'm scared, could I be that I'm pregnant?

Brief Answer:
urine pregnancy test

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand the concerns.
Unprotected intercourse can lead to pregnancy.
Morning after pill is effective in preventing pregnancy in 95-98% cases.
Moreover, it has the side effect of delaying the next expected periods by 2-3 weeks.
So, delayed periods can be due to side effect of due to pregnancy.
I will suggest you to get a urine pregnancy test done to confirm the diagnosis.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
