Question: my daughter had preauricular ear pit holes on both ear.she had is only 18 months old.what is the treatment in ayuevedic.please help.

Thanks for contacting Ayurveda with your health concern and following is/are recommended guidelines:

1. Since caused due to faulty development of the ear while the child is still in the womb thus it is a congenital condition and as such cannot CLOSE by itself.

2. As the pre auricular sinus has epithelium which can get obstructed & infected any time thus this blockage can lead to formation of abscess/cellulitis, thus one should watch out for:

. any pus discharge
. any sign of inflammation (pain,redness, swelling)
. fever

3. At her age Surgical excision is the mainstay of treatment/choice,talk with an ENT surgeon to know when your child is fit for surgery.
