Is Persistent Dull Headache After A Head Injury A Cause For Concern?

default
Posted on Fri, 10 Feb 2017
Question: My 4 yo daughter accidentally shut a car door on my head on Friday. It wasn't very hard. Just enough to hurt for a bit and then I had a dull headache. No dizziness or disorientation at all. No trouble sleeping or staying awake. Just a dull headache for the last three days. This morning my headache has been getting steadily worse and is not better with essential oils or 2 ibuprofen (400 mg total). Should I be worried or is this unrelated? Headaches aren't completely uncommon for me, but the pain is mostly localized to the left side and behind my eyes.

Brief Answer:
No need being worried!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I have reviewed this information fully. Certainly, it could not have been caused by the incident with the car door. This headache, though much be related in no way suggests any brain involvement. I suggest you take tylenol 1000mg every 8hours for the headaches. There is no need for any special doctor visit at this time.

I hope this addresses your query and guiding enough. I wish you well. Feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.
