Is Pap Smear Test Advisable While Having An IUD?
Question: Hi doctor ,
Im XXXXXXX , married and have a kid . I have the habit of going to sexual worker frequently about 3 times a month with protection for about two years now . Once my barrier broken and had some troubles in health , I had symptoms like sore throats , mild fever , small white spots on penis , diarrhea and etc as we know for viral infection , when test for stds and hiv the results were negative . My wife also had similar symptoms such as got a bump on her genital area , then frequent discharge , periods irregular , cramping , diarrhea , headache .I regularly test for stds and hiv everymonth until six month and all the results were negative . But always we have some symptoms which we do not experience before . Then Two month back my wife got pregnant , we decided not to keep it and did DNC , the doctor adviced us for IUD . So after DNC procedure IUD was inserted . last month when i consulted a dermatologist for myself , the doctor said i have HPV which caused small warts on my penis . Now im not anymore doing it again the same habit . But since im having HPV , i guess my wife also will have HPV , after consulting doctor for myself the doctor said the infection will cure by time . But what about my wife , we dint do a pap smear test for her to find the HPV type , and morever she is having IUD . Can we do a pap smear test with IUD inserted . Should she remove the IUD . I think i have put my wife in a life threatening situation . Please advice me what to do ? I LOVE HER MORE but my addiction have blinded me . Now im consulting a doctor to stop the habit .

Now is she need to remove the IUD Immediately ? Because my wife gynaecologist said nothing about to remove the IUD . Is it very serius condition ? Explain me briefly doctor

But in case she is HPV negative and her gynecologist has examined and labelled safe then no need to remove IUD.

According to you we fix apppintmemt with doctor . So shall i fix appointment with urogynaecologist for the removal and hpv testing , Do urogynaecologist do these procedures ?
