Brief Answer:
It’s a normal phenomenon

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

It’s a quite common phenomenon and nothing much to worry.
When you sleep the part of the body that comes in contact with the bed get compressed and the blood circulation gets compromised. This will lead to numbness of that particular site and parts away from that side because distal portion doesn’t get blood supply. When you wake up and moves the body, the blood circulation continues and when blood flows to previously under perfumed region you may feel shivering or tickling sensation.

Hope I have answered your query.
Thanks

This issue now is I can’t sleep because whenever I lay down the blood rushes there. This has never happened before. And these are bad shakes .....not like minimal chills. I went to the ER a few days ago and they mentioned I might have anxiety, but I don’t feel like I have anything to worry about. Can this be like a blood clot or something a lot more serious ? Can I take aspirin to assist with the circulation ?

Brief Answer:
Aspirin is not required.

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

Nothing much to worry and aspirin or other blood thinners are not required. Blood clot and blocks are not possible.
I think anxiety might have caused increase in severity of the illness.
If you are much worried about the symptoms, better to consult a physician and get evaluated.

let me give you a better description of the past 3-4 weeks and maybe this will assist with a diagnosis. About 4 weeks ago I got a lump on the back of my head. I went to the doctor and they diagnosed it as folliculitis. I was given antibiotics, first dicloxacillin and then Keflex because I thought I was having an allergic to the dicloxacillin, I felt my chest palpating, like I was having trouble breathing and numbness. After finishing the Keflex the lump went away but the chest palpatations, body numbness and other symptoms stayed. I first went to my PCP and they did lab work, EKG, and a chest x-ray. The lab work they stated was fine and I had an A1C of 5.6. Which to my understanding is close to being prediabetic. The stated that my symptoms have nothing to do with diabetes. I went home kept feeling the same, the next day I went to the ER and they stated that they feel it's anxiety. The gave me some medicine to sleep but I still have the same symptoms. Last night was a horrible feeling, I laid down to try and sleep and I woke up about an hr later with my body extremely numb on the side I was laying. My face was numb, it was a horrible feeling. I never have felt like that before, so it's not like a normal numbness of like sleeping on ur arm. I got up to try and get some blood circulating but that's when my body started shivering and shaking uncontrollably. I was debating going to the ER but I didn't want to freak out my wife and daughter since they've been worried too over this past week that I've had the symptoms. I might go back to the ER but I feel like they need to do additional testing and all im getting is it's probably anxiety just go home. can I have a blood clot ? It's been exactly 1 week and 3 days today and I just want to feel better. anything you can do or recommend would greatly be appreciated.

Brief Answer:
Go for an MR angiogram for reassurance.

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

I'm also of the opinion that it is due to anxiety.
If you are so much worried about clot, you can go for a whole body MR angiogram which can image the entire circulation and can rule out clots and blocks.
try relaxation techniques like yoga and meditation to calm you down.
