Posted on Wed, 3 Aug 2016
Question: My lymphocytes came back at 42.5% and I see the range is 16-44. Is this considered a concern? Everything else was mid range or low for all other tests.

Brief Answer:
it is within the NORMAL range mentioned

Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic

The normal range that you mentioned is 16 to 44. This means that your value at 42.5, is within normal range, it is less than/not above the upper limit of 44.

Once it is less than the higher normal value, it is still within range.

For your information:
Lymphocytes are a type of white blood cell.White blood cells respond to infection/inflammation in the body.
Lymphocytes are usually interpreted along with the total white cell count.

They can give an indication of the type of infection present (if there is an infection)
An increase in lymphocytes can sometimes mean that a viral infection is present.

White blood cell counts can also go up with more dangerous conditions as well such as leukemia or lymphoma.

Your lymphocyte count is NORMAL, within range
