Question: is it safe for a cocaine addict to take Xanax. Patient takes 1/2 ounce of cocaine daily

Xanax 0.25-0.5 mg one dose is ok. It is not going to harm. But if you want to take daily, we should take care.

Please revert back to me why/ for which indication xanax is needed? And in which dose?

Xanax has high dependence potential and chance of person getting addicted to it high. So personally I used it rarely as other alternative s are available which are safer and with lower dependence potential.

klonopin-clonazepam or etizolam

Clonazepam-klonopin is good alternative. It is a medicine from same group -benzodiazepines.
If you want only anti anxiety effect and no sedation, etizolam is good alternative.
