Question: This is a question for a Cardiologist. I am a Retired RN and have had four chest stents placed four years ago with out any problem I am on several Cardiac meds. I also have longstanding Fibromyalgia and was placed on disability at age 55 because of it. My current physician suggested that I try Marijuana to control my pain. I have been on various NSAIDs for this and am currently on Vicodan which is only a bandaid at best for the pain. I am now 69 years old 5'10" and overweight (225lbs) I am concerned that the Marijuana will affect my Cardiac Stents and need to know preferably from a Cardiologist if this is a good idea? I should also say I have been to the gym and each and every time wind up with a joint replacement so far two knees and one hip so I am reluctant to try the gym any more. The pain and aching have taken a toll on the quality of my life so I thought I would get an unbiased answer from your site. Thank You for any insight you can offer
