if there are no symptoms, rate less XXXXXXX 50 can be harmless. However, if palpitations or syncope occurs, consult a cardiologist

After 10 weeks of cardo training and walking 3 weeks ago i have stopped the cardo but continued walking to work.. I work as a pre school teacher which is a demanding job... I stopped the doing cardo when i realised that sometimes my heart rate was 55 or 56 it cause extream anxiety i was scread that my heart was failing or i have some type of heart disease.. My doctor sent me for a ecg which she said was text book perfect however the time i had it my heart beat was around 65 -70... She told ne 56 bpm was normal an excellent... But i cannot help put worry

Brief Answer:
please answer.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
It seems you are too much worried about heart. Let me clarify.
In some people, there are fluctuations in heart beat yet it is normal. our heart beat varies fro 60-100 depending on the situation, our morphology and stress.
Some athelets have their hearts beating around 40-50, still they are normal.
some people will have their basic heart rhythm set at 50-60, it is normal.
So, it is important whether we have symptoms at the time of varied heart rate or not. In general, even if heart rate is 50, if the patient is not having any symptoms, we just reassure them as they do not require treatment. we generally treat, if the rate is below 50 irrespective of symptoms.
Now, tell me, do you suffer anxiety after realizing that your rate is low??? or you suffer anxiety and then you observe that you are running on a low heart rate???
do you also suffer from palpitations or chest pain or syncope??
please answer.

Usually after noticing it wAs slow. .. I timed it for 60sec relaised it wAs 56.. But as soon as i change postion it goes up to about 62.i then start stressing about it and using google alot. No chest pain just alot of burping.. I get palpitations and really notice them maybe 10 a day sometime. In 2009 i had a hole closed in my heart. In 201o i had a scan on my heart everything was normal. But the slow heart rate at times only when resting worries me

Brief Answer:
nothing to worry.

Detailed Answer:
hi,
Then everything is just perfect. Your basal rate is set around +or- 55/min, and it is normal to have fluctuations with postural variation. When you are worried about something, the rate instantaneously increases, making you further worry.
Occasional missed beats and palpitations is also a normal process, and has fot nothing to do with the hole you had.
I would recommend to stop worrying. If you can't, you can try relaxation technique: close your eyes and try to count numbers down from 10 to 1 slowly while taking deep breath, concentrating only on your breath. your stress as well as heart rate will fall back in place.
HOPE I WAS OF SOME HELP.
