Is Blood Glucose Level Of 48 Mg/dl A Cause For Concern?
Question: I was feeling really faint and having a hard time making decisions, and tested my blood sugar and it was 48. As with low blood pressure, is the only risk with low blood sugar passing out, or can you cause organ damage or other problems if you go below a certain blood sugar threshold?

Thank you Dr. Puri. I am seeing an internist this Friday. I will look into this. Can one run into any serious problems if blood glucose falls below a certain threshold?
