Is autoimmune hepatitis B contagious. Does it effect life expectancy.

I presume you meant Hepatitis B viral infection.

It is transmitted by sexual contact, contaminated blood and blood products transfusion, by needle stick injury and from mother to child during child birth.

A small percentage of infection when acquired during adulthood becomes chronic and over a period of time ( usually decades) can lead to conditions like cirrhosis of liver and liver cancer.
Life span is affected only if the above two complications occur.
