Is Authorscoptic Surgery Safe While On Asprin?
Question: my husband is having authorscoptic surgery wed 6/18 and is still taking his aspirin. should he have this surgery.
Brief Answer:
Continue aspirin and have surgery.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for using Healthcare Magic. For this type of surgery, aspirin does not need to be stopped. Therefore, I consider he can go ahead with his surgery whilst taking his aspirin. There is greater benefit in reducing the risk of cardiovascular problems than there is risks of bleeding if he continues aspirin.
I hope this is of help. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
