Brief Answer:
Vyvanse doses should be reduced very gradually

Detailed Answer:
Hello thanks for asking from HCM for your health related queries

I can understand your concern. Vyvanse is an amphetamine drug and the drug is a stimulant drug. Abrupt stoppage of drug or rapid dose reduction after prolonged use results in withdrawal symptoms. As the drug is a stimulant drug and is highly dependence producing so even with gradual tapering of doses individuals suffer some withdrawal symptoms.

In usual cases doses should be reduced by about 20-25%(in your case about 10 mg) every 1-2 weeks and then stopping completely at about 6-10 weeks. Even the dose reduction in this manner result in some withdrawal symptoms. So please try to reassure yourself that you are going to have some withdrawal symptoms. You are quitting the drug and this motivation should be maintained.

For nervousness, lack of focus, restlessness and anxiety drugs like benzodiazepines in low doses have been found to be useful. Drugs like Clonazepam or Lorazepam in low doses can result in reduction of withdrawal symptoms. Some studies have found drugs like Modafinil or Armodafinil to be useful in withdrawal symptoms. If your symptoms are very intolerable then I'd advise you to visit a doctor and ask for prescription of the drugs I've mentioned.

For severe restlessness, poor focus, anxiety due to withdrawal Mirtazapine can also be used. Some patients of Vyvanse withdrawal show significant improvement with Mirtazapine. Please visit your doctor for help.

Green tea, relaxation exercises can help to improve focus and will reduce the nervousness.

Thanks, I hope this helps you. Please don't hesitate to ask again for more doubts. Keep one thing in mind that you have to pass that bad phase of withdrawal and you will come out of these symptoms in some days.

Take care
