Question: I have had hemroids forever. I was having a problem after a tough bowel movement and I noticed for a couple of days they were bothering me. So I used hemmroid cream on them and most of the problem went away. I had one small area that appears swollen and dark. should I be concerned?

Brief Answer:
NO!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this hemorrhoids. One way staying out of trouble is always to make sure that the stools are normal; avoiding both diarrhea and constipation. The swollen and dark area represents a blood clot and will be resolved over weeks. There is nothing to be concerned about. Be relaxed and all will slowly return to normal. Most importantly, fruits, vegetables, fibers, fluids and regular exercise will help keep bowels healthy and prevent crisis.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be. Above all, thanks for using our services.
