Is A Non Itchy Lump At Anus Rim Suggestive Of Hemorrhoids?
Question: Hello. Last week I thought I had a hemerroid as it was slightly painful and I could feel an itchy lump on the rim of my anus. The lump is still there but not itchy and painful anymore. Now I noticed further in my anus a small bump probably the size of a pea. It doesn't hurt, but it's definitely there. Is this part of hemorrhoid or something more serious.

As per the history you have provided this looks to be a fissure-in-ano.
If the lump was on the front or the back side, this is most probably a fissure with sentinel pile (this is just a skin tag that grows as a reaction to a fissure) and this persists as a small bump in some cases.
The reason of this thought is as follows:
If the hemorrhoids swell up and persist the pain is unbearable. Hence this is probably not hemorrhoid.
I would suggest you the following:
High fiber diet.
Avoid all the foods and beverages and stress-like conditions which gives constipation.
Laxative for softening the stool- never allow the dose too much to cause liquid stools.
Sitz bath- very important- just before passing a stool and after passing a stool.
Clean the area very clear of the fecal soiling that remains after cleaning; use cotton soaked in the same water to clean.
You can apply liquid povidone iodine locally. Apply nothing else.
5 day course of an antibiotic on prescription of a local Doctor/ General Surgeon after examination to get a confirmed diagnosis and proper treatment as may be necessary.

I usually have a relitively soft stool and this started after a few days of having a harder stool then I usually have. Could this be what caused the issue.

Just to be clear. I saw that you reccomend fiber in my diet. However, i have no issues with regular bowel movements. Therefore, I dont think contipation is the problem. Do you think there could be another reason for the lump?
