Is TRI-DOT Rapid HIV Test Done 9 Years Post Exposure Conclusive?

Question: I had unprotected sex 9 years before. After that i had diarrea and admitted in hospital and tested negative for HIV. Recently 6 months before i again had Rapid and Tridot test and both are negative/Non reactive. However, i always have the symptoms of constipation and diarrea. Further my wife and son is also facing the similar and same problem like constipationn and dirrea last 6 months. Please let me know whether i need to do any other check or tridot is conclusive after 9 years check. Second question is that if i am negative then why similar symptoms my wife and son is having. Do they also need to check for HIV.

Rapid and tridot test both are negative after 9years then no need to go for any further test because you are absolutely free from HIV if you had no anyother exposure after that so don't get worried about that.

The problem of diarrhea in you and your family is mostly due to some gastric infection. Consult your physician, go for some investigations to isolate the cause and follow the treatment regime. Be relaxed and move ahead in life happily with your family.
