Is P 24 Antigen Test Result Can Be Confirmatory After 2 Weeks Of Exposure?

Question: Sir I'm a doctor And physician. I went to a massage parlour last week.during massage she started rubbing her breast initially over my back then her vagina over my butt. Once I relalized I stopped her.I'm worried whether she should touched my rectum with her vagina.I'm not sure of it , whether she had any secretions.Im having sleepless nights.I want to get tested, would p 24 antigen can be confirmatory after 2 wks, what test at least by 1 month could be confirmatory , plz suggest.

I have gone through the details.

I think you are worried that vaginal secretions have come in contact with rectum or anus.It is unlikely.The chances of transmission of HIV is almost nil even if in contact.
She may be negative too.
You can get her tested to be free from anxiety.

After 2 weeks I would suggest HIV 1&2 RNA PCR .It is >99% sensitive.
P24 antigen may not be conclusive at this stage .

Thanks v much for ur reply sir, checking her would be difficult bcoz it was in XXXXXXX which happened, I'm from XXXXXXX sir if u know any centers that do this test in kannur XXXXXXX would help me.I want to get done after next week,only 1 week is over.I couldn't tell anybody including my wife this problem. I couldn't concentrate in my op.if it's in ernakulam also its k sir

Hi sir , hiv pcr whether i should go for qualitative or quantitative. Is there chance of false positives, if so what is the percentage.which is one is more accurate as screening test ?, I'm on 10 th day mark , can I do it now what is the accuracy? Thanks

Quantitative PCR detects both presence and number of virus.Qualitative PCR detects presence of virus.either of them is okay.
The chance of false positive is less than 1%.
