Is Lexapro Along With Keppra The Right Treatment For Mood Swings?
Question: I am on Lexapro 40 mg since more or least three weeks, Keppra 1500 mg as mood stabilizer, Klonopin 2mg and Solian 100 mg (amisulpride), which seems to provoke some OCD symptoms because of agonism of 5HT7 and 5HT2b receptors and some dopaminergic actvity. I would like to know if i can expect more improvement with Lexapro 40 mg in the next weeks, since until now i have an improvement of 80 %, but not at 100% (i don't feel a full recovery),

I have read your queries.
You are taking 40mg Lexapro with above mentioned drugs.
Actually these drugs takes 3-4 weeks to show complete improvement.
As you are getting 80% relief after taking these drugs after 3-4 weeks, wait for one to two weeks more you will get 100% relief.
I generally avoid higher doses to my patients as these drugs provide complete relief after 4 weeks.
So in my opinion you are taking appropriate doses, i know that you are poor metabolizer for cyp2c19.
Just wait for 1-2 weeks more you will have the desire 100% effect.
Treatment of anxiety with ocd generally takes 5-6 months period, after that weaning starts slowly and no need of further treatment.
I will suggest you to also go for counselling sessions and cognitive behavioral therapy side by side for early recovery and it will also prevent relapse of symptoms after discontinuation of drugs.
