Brief Answer:
Bifilac can be used to reduce the frequency of motions.

Detailed Answer:
Dear Sir, Hi & Good afternoon!
I can appreciate your concern.

Kindly provide the following details:

1. How frequently do you have loose motions?
2. Do you have any associated symptoms like fever, abdominal pain, etc.
3. Do you take any antibiotics?

Assuming that you have loose motions (with mucus in the stools), yes Bifilac can reduce the frequency of motions.

Bifilac is a probiotic, it contains spores of bacteria which are normally present in our intestines (Lactobacillus sporogenes, Clostridium butyricum, Streptococcus
faecalis). These bacteria help in the process of digestion and absorption. Destruction of these bacteria by antibiotics result in antibiotic induced diarrhoea. Hence, probiotics are more effective in the loose motions caused by antibiotics.

This is also found to be effective in the treatment and prevention of diarrhea, including infectious types such as rotaviral diarrhea and traveler's diarrhea.

Hope to have answered your query.

I shall be happy to answer any further clarification if you have.

Take care.

Brief Answer:
Bifilac may not be effective in getting rid of just mucus problem

Detailed Answer:
Dear Sir,
Hi & Good afternoon!

Thanks for your kind reply.

Well, since you have stopped taking antibiotics since last 3-4 months and right now you are not suffering from loose motions, just having "mucus" problem sometimes, and having a hard stool once in the morning, so the use of Bifilac may not be useful.

As I explained earlier the role of Bifilac is to reduce the frequency of loose motions in certain conditions like infective diarrhea, antibiotic associated diarrhea and the fact the you are not suffering from loose motion etc therefore the use of Bifilac is not justifiable.

I would rather recommend a stool analysis to rule out any parasitic infection.

Meanwhile take plenty of oral fluids, take high dietary fiber rich foods such as green vegetables and fruits.

Hope to have answered your query.

Best regards/
