Brief Answer:
Body weight needs to be known.

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

First of all, most often fevers in children is due to viral cause and antibiotics are ineffective. Irrespective of the use of antibiotics it would take 5-7 days for recovery to occur. Antibiotics should not be given unless the WBC count is raised indicating a bacterial cause. If you still want to give antibiotics, 2.5 ml of Cepodem is inadequate for a child of his age. However, I would need to know the body weight of the child.

Unless his blood counts has been checked, I do not support administering antibiotics.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Thank you.

Brief Answer:
Dosage mentioned.

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

As expected, the WBC count is not raised. So, it is meaningless to give antibiotics.

The correct dose of Cepodem (100mg/5ml) is 3 ml twice daily. Whether you give it or how much you give it is your choice.

Hope I have answered your query.

Thank you.
