Brief Answer:
May or may not be a XXXXXXX stroke....

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I went through the details. I have couple of questions here:
1. Were you completely unconsciousness without awareness of surrounding?
2. Approximately how long did the episode last?

I would also like to know if you had similar episodes in the past?

Awaiting your response...

Brief Answer:
Syncope vs TIA

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Three common reasons for sudden episode of unconsciousness are syncope, TIA (minor stroke) and seizures. Based on your description, the symptoms you had prior to onset of loss of consciousness, if I have arrive at a conclusion, I will consider syncope more likely than minor stroke. I would almost rule out seizure in this case.

However it is important that we evaluate for both condition (syncope and TIA). It is necessary to perform a brain scan along with assessment of neck blood vessels and cardiac check up - echocardiogram and holter. I recommend you discuss about these possibilities with your treating doctor. If he shares my opinion, I am sure these tests will be ordered.

You need not be overly concerned about the condition. It is most often a correctable and preventable condition. Talk and discuss with your treating doctor.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you need clarifications.

makes some sense, I have known for many years since a child that I have mitral prolapse condition. I would believe this may bolster your diagnosis / evaluation, is this a rerlatively correct assumption?
And thank you for your valued assistance

Brief Answer:
MVP may or may not be related...

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Presence of MVP in the past is a significant history. But it alone cannot help us identify precisely what caused the unconsciousness. We still need help of tests to determine the cause. I recommend to see your primary care provider and discuss about it.

Hope I made sense. If you still have questions, I will be glad to discuss further.
