Hello!

Welcome on - Ask a Doctor - service!

I passed carefully through your medical history and would like to explain that the main issues to consider are:

1 - A potential adverse effects of Triamcinolone; it may be associated with joints swelling (edema). In such case, once your stop the trigger (drug injection) this effect will subside slowly. Sometimes diuretics are required.

2 - Another issue could be lower limbs vein insufficiency. A Doppler ultrasound of the lower limb veins could help to investigate such a potential option.

3 - As you are suffering from bronchial asthma, cardiac ultrasound is recommended to investigate for potential pulmonary hypertension (frequently found in asthma patients); it may lead to increased systemic venous congestion and limb edema.

You should discuss with your attending doctor on the above mentioned issues.

Hope you will find this answer helpful!

My answer as follows:

Detailed Answer:
Hello again!

Vitamin B12 deficiency is usually related to malabsorption, which could be related to an autoimmune disorder (a fibrogastroscopy is needed) or low intake.

In case of autoimmune disorders (confirmed by gut biopsy), you may need to take injections once a month for your entire life.

Regarding furosemide, it should be continued until your symptoms (leg swelling) are improved.

Hope you will find this information helpful!

I am sorry for the delay in answer!
