Brief Answer:
Please provide details of any histopathology report of the products.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for letting us know your health concern.

I am very sorry for what you had to go through. I have gone through your query and also the sonogram report.

Fetal anomalies can be due to several causes, most common being genetic followed by infections and drugs. Histopathology and embryology studies on the products of conception will help to identify the cause and help in future management.

There is no evidence of PCOD in the sonogram report. Instead, it shows retained products of conception which need to be removed.

In the current scenario, I would ask for a proper clinical evaluation, followed by appropriate treatment, wait for a couple of months before planning another pregnancy and in the meantime, get proper prenatal assessment and medication.

Hope I have answered your query. Please feel free to contact for further clarification. I will be happy to help.

regards,
Shanti.V.

Brief Answer:
Retained products need to be removed.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for writing back.

Though the ovaries have multiple follicles, the typical picture of PCOD is not present. The occurance of multiple follicles can be a physiological finding.

Further investigation is needed to confirm PCOD.

Retained products are to be removed. This is to avoid infection and further complications.Surgical method is better.

Hope this helps.

Brief Answer:
Detailed below.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for writing again.

I have gone through your query and would like to share some views with you.

1. Detection of PCOD is based on clinical features like irregular menstrual cycle, breakthrough bleeding and metropathic cycles, sonogram and hormone assays. Other features like abnormal hair growth, obesity and infertility can also be seen. A simple sonogram finding is not all.

2. Medroxyprogesterone can be given in cases of unopposed estrogen activity and PCOD is one of them. Please ask your doctor if you really need this. The hormone helps to arrest abnormal bleeding and also helps to restore cyclical pattern, if there is any deviation.

3. Your AMH levels are a little more than the normal limit. Infertility is associated with lower levels.

4. The sonogram report shows products retained in one corner of the uterus in which case spontaneous expulsion may be difficult.

In view of all these, I would suggest a second opinion.

Hope this helps.

regards,
Shanti.V.
