Brief Answer: At least an hour prior to sleep. Detailed Answer: Hello there, Welcome to Healthcare magic, Nice to meet you here, It is advisable to have your foods at least one hour prior to bed, it helps to reduce the gastric acid reflux and prevents heart burn. Drinking milk 15 minutes prior won’t cause any heart burn, in fact it reduces heartburn at that time by neutralizing acid, but if you had spicy food or oily food just before your nap, it just increases the acid reflux in the later situation and worsen the conditions. Usage antacids after heavy meal reduce your acid reflexes. Try to minimize spicy and oily food at dinner, which aggravate the symptoms by increasing acid secretion. Take care. Dr.surendiran.g
