Question: Hi, Drank alcohol, more than I should. Went for Dr visit, yearly exam. Office called Back Said My enzymes were elevated. One was a2time the other was 3 times. Going for scan tomorrow. One was like 180, the other was about 100. I ceased all alchohol the day they called and have been alchohol free for ! month. Will I be OK if i Continue to stay sober? What do you think of the numbers. I have no physical symptoms that I know of. My belly went down quite a lot since i stopped all alcohol. I am concerned.

Brief Answer:
Will resolve. Mild Alcoholic hepatitis

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

I read your question and i understand your concern. To be honest i have seen worse with levels 20 and 30 times normal and still recovering so i don't see any reason to worry about the enzymes provided you stay sober . They will come back to normal provided the damage to the liver is not permanent which is more likely in chronic alcoholics. Liver is good at regenerationthough. It ill find its way out. Stay sober keep your fingers crossed and wait for the scan reports.

Nutshell, no worries and fingers crossed .

I hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.
