How Long Does It Take To Recover After Lip Biopsy?

default
Posted on Mon, 2 Mar 2015
Question: I had a lower lip biopsy for a basal cell carcinoma on XXXXXXX 23. The people who did it only told me to keep Vaseline on it. How long should it take to heal and what can I expect? I'm getting a bit concerned.

Brief Answer:
No worries, expect to be over within two weeks, see Dr if persistence.

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for the query,

I understand how disturbing this could be.

It rarely takes more than two weeks to heal.

In case you do not have any underlying condition like diabetes, or an infection, the healing process should not be an issue.

I think the healing should be complete within the next two weeks.

No worries as I wish you the best of health.
