Posted on Tue, 3 Mar 2015
Question: I have a job interview coming up and just got off some pain medicine. Although this is probably explainable, I would like to know how long Vicodin 10/300 stays in my system. I am a 58 yr old male, about 165 lbs. I have a normal diet and XXXXXXX not on any other medication.

Brief Answer:
It can stay upto 4 days in detectable limits.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking.
I am Dr. Jyothi BL and I will be answering your query.

Based on your query, my opinion is as follows:
Vicodin 10/300 - contains hydrocodone and acetaminophen.

1. Hydrocodone in vicodin is detectable usually upto a maximum of 24 hours normally.
2. During chronic intake, maximum of 3-4 days is the detectable limit, after which it cannot be detected. This all depends on activity and metabolism in the body. Above 5 days, not detected by current methods.
3. Acetaminophen also has similar half life like hydrocodone. It also is not detected by usual methods after 24 hours.

Hope it helps.
