Keppra have half life of almost eight hours in most individuals although it may extend upto 12 hours in slow metabolizers.

In case somebodyy stops the medication (Keppra) it takes almost five half life to get eliminated from the system. For example for a a young person like you it should be somewhere two days from last dose.

Regarding the effects it varies from condition to condition. In epilepsy it takes almost one week to show efficacy in seizure control.
